A few words about me and my studio!I'm Catarina Calçada - the founder and designer behind Nordenstudio. My professional background lies in Product and Graphic Design and I am always looking for a type of natural and unsophisticated beauty in my designs. My inspirations are people and their cultures, quality of materials, architecture and the raw simplicity of geometry and color.
I love to work with people who commit to the project as much as I do, so all the designs start with a hot beverage, a nice conversation and a blank sheet of paper. • Nordenstudio was established in 2012 as an experimental studio for leather goods, where form and function always played a big part. The result of this profound marriage between form and function are lightweight yet durable pieces intended to give its owner a sense of pleasure and satisfaction each time they use it. • Focusing on exceptional materials, impeccable details and precise cuts, the studio combines a timeless perspective with subtle attitudes which forms an irreverent classic signature. The designs also explore the strength of simplistic shapes that speak to discretion and are based on uncompromising quality.
